As 2017 draws to a close, let’s take a look back over the five most popular posts of 2017.
Looking back on the year I’m really proud of how my blog evolved in 2017. I moved to WordPress (thanks to Pipdig) which is one of the best blogging decisions I’ve made, there’s so much more freedom and control with WordPress and I just find it so much easier to use now; I started using a recipe plugin to help people print recipes to try at home and to keep all of the information in one place – I’m currently in the process of moving all my recipes over to this format – and I think the biggest change is my photography has really come on leaps and bounds (at least, I think it has!) so I’m really proud of that.
Without further ado, in 5th place we have…
I love chimichurri and it seems you love it just as much! I’m forever making this now and I’ve discovered it’s really nice with roasted vegetables too, as well as grilled meat. I make my chimichurri chicken at least once a month and feast on the leftovers for work lunches.
In 4th place…
This beautiful, crisp winter sangria was really popular in December – I’m guessing people wanted a lighter alternative to mulled wine. I really enjoy the fresh flavours of this winter sangria and I’m so pleased others did too!
In 3rd place…
My Best EVER Christmas Cake
Calling anything the best ever is a bold claim but this is my favourite fruit cake in the world. Bursting with fruit (and whiskey – there was a fierce smell of drink when I unwrapped it!) and slowly matured. You can’t go wrong. I opted for a cutout gingerbread man design this year and it went down a treat.
In 2nd place…
Apple Streusel Cake
My slight adaptation of the Hummingbird Bakery recipe proved popular this year. Seasonal apples, cinnamon and beautiful crumble topping are comfort food at its finest.
And finally, the most popular post of 2017 is…
A worthy winner and probably my favourite post to photograph this year. Fluffy vanilla pancakes packed full of delicious bursting blueberries, served with whipped vanilla cream and blueberry syrup – what more could you ask for?
There we have it, my most popular posts of 2017! Thank you so much for reading this year, I hope you’ve enjoyed my recipes and that if you’ve made them, you’ve enjoyed the process.
